![]() ![]() This re-evaluation was recommended in light of newer epidemiological evidence of increased cancer risk broadly among welders, and not only among stainless steel welders, ,, ,. In 2014, an IARC advisory group identified welding and welding fumes as a high priority for re-evaluation. However, despite some epidemiological evidence and proposed biological plausibility, there were insufficient data for welding fumes as a whole to establish a causal link. A convincing body of evidence has recognized an elevated risk of lung cancer among welders, with the excess estimated at 20–40%. In addition to nickel and chromium exposure, common in stainless steel welding, welders are potentially exposed to hazardous agents including iron and manganese, common in mild steel welding, and known carcinogens including aluminum, cadmium, silica, lead, UV radiation, and asbestos. ![]() However, an increasing body of evidence has also suggested a risk among welders who work with materials other than stainless steel, ,, indicating additional or alternate sources of carcinogenicity. Several studies have corroborated the excess risk among stainless steel welders. ![]() Stainless steel welding fumes contain high levels of nickel and chromium VI compounds, which are established human lung carcinogens. Contemporary epidemiological evidence points to an increased lung cancer risk, particularly among stainless steel welders. Įxcess cancer risk among welders has been reported in several cohort, , and case–control, ,, , studies and in meta-analyses,. Nearly two decades after the initial IARC evaluation and the publication of numerous studies exploring cancer risks associated with welding and welding fumes, there remain questions regarding the specific sources of excess risk, variations across welding processes, and types of metals and materials involved,. ![]() Welding has been classified as possibly carcinogenic to humans based on an evaluation of the human, animal, and mechanistic evidence for welding fumes conducted by the IARC. With > 30 types of welding, welders use a wide variety of different processes under a broad range of conditions, leading to challenges in quantifying exposures and evaluating health outcomes for welders overall. There are > 3 million workers worldwide whose primary occupation is welding, and many more who perform welding as part of their work activities. ![]()

![]() ![]() Easy to cast into and guaranteed to catch whatever is in there. Very rare to get one of these fish when not fishing in a school. Fishing bots killed this market so Blizzard now make schools of these fish. Oily Blackmouths and Firefin Snappers are used for potions and a worth money. ![]() good luck!Ĭomment by ThottbotThere are no longer random catches of certain fish. It's helped me alot with a skill that can be very time consuming. ![]() thanks to the folks that share their knowledge on where to find the best spots. Just make sure your location (above the minimap) states the Strand. I also tried this over in the Veiled Sea as another post suggested. The drop rates, while varied, drop dramatically (to non-existant) if you venture down to The Merchant Coast (for example). I've tended to go the locations stated here and then move up and down the waterlines testing to see if there are any places better than others. To receive the best chance at getting your fish/item, make sure you are in the right area. Over various times and sittings I've caught as many as 3 in a row of the Oily Blackmouths, then various fishes for 10 casts following that. I'm currently at 211 and nothing gets "away" in Ratchet. The reason I say this is because it will be the difference between getting a "You receive loot" message compared to the "got away" message. Fishing skill has EVERYTHING to do with catching these and other fish/items. Some other post mentioned that fishing skill has nothing to do with catching these things. Comment by ThottbotThis post pertains to fishing in Ratchet. ![]() ![]() ![]() While their claims are hilarious, people that believe our planet is flat are often passionate and even conduct simple experiments and engage in naive flat earth mathematics.Īdherents to the idea that the world is flat often propose Gleason’s Map (shown above) as their version of the correct representation of our planet. YouTube contains thousands of videos from people that claim the earth is flat and that science as we know it is a “globalist conspiracy”. You can view the code below or download the full version from GitHub. This article uses the code I published earlier in articles about creating flight maps and Pacific island hopping. This article discusses flat earth mathematics, and how to convert and visualise map projections in R. Some of you might ask whether my trip actually around the world or am I travelling across a flat disk? One of the workshops I am involved with is about Fake News in the water industry.įake news and conspiracies are threatening western civilisation, and one of the craziest trends is the flat earth conspiracy. ![]() I am soon embarking on a trip around the world to speak at the World Water Congress in Tokyo, visit family and friends in the Netherlands and some tourism in San Francisco. ![]() ![]() ![]() The fact that instead of pain he feels happiness, more than he felt in any other context shows both his strength and insane love for fighting. Strangely the one in which he’s most happy is when he’s clearly just been cut in combat. We’re then treated to a series of images which show Guts at various stages in the show. He is staring out from a cliff top overlooking the world before jumping down ready to fight, with blood slashing at the floor and a flower burning up, which could represent Guts’ loss of purity and childhood innocence from a very young age. It could be ironically saying that Guts is the complete opposite to this line or that his wish for a dream is so desperate that any help from the grave will be appreciated. I find it strange that this scene takes place at the same time as “Even mother will show you another way” because it obviously shows that Guts’ mother is hanging there and he’s left deserted in the world. The next shot shows the scene of Gut’s birth, yes he was born in a tree with many hanged people on it. Despite this he’s able to draw his sword later showing the adventure he embarks on and his undying quest for purpose and fighting. It may also foreshadow the future catastrophic events which happen to him. We start with a shot of Guts which zooms out in fragments to a moment where his skin starts burning up, showing his troubled, tragic past and nature as a lonely mercenary. ![]() I skip the OP normally anyway so it really doesn’t bother me too much. They balance quite well and the music matches the early parts of the story really well. To me the music is hype to represent all the cool parts of the show, the adventure and fighting whilst the ED represents the depressing and dark parts. A claim that people often make is that the OP doesn’t fit in with the rest of the show and I couldn’t disagree more. ![]() |
